SHOULD I HIRE A PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST FOR MY WEDDING DAY?


It is very important to hire a professional makeup artist for your wedding day.  A professional makeup artist will make sure that your makeup will last all day and photograph beautifully.  Your wedding day is not a good day to risk doing your own makeup, or having a friend do it.  Only a professionally trained artist will ensure that you will look and feel your absolute best on this very important day, that you will remember in your thoughts and photographs for years to come. I will be sure to provide you with a fun, enjoyable and relaxing experience on your wedding day, because I can come to you!

 

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK YOU?


I start booking up for the wedding season (May-September) up to 18 months in advance. 

 

IS A DEPOSIT/RETAINER OR CONTRACT REQUIRED TO HOLD MY WEDDING DATE?


Yes, a signed bridal contract and a 50% retainer of the total amount due is required in order to reserve your date.  Be advised that no date will be reserved until the contract has been signed and the retainer has been paid.  The retainer will be put towards your final bill and it is non-refundable and non-transferable. The remainder of your payment is due seven (14) days prior to your wedding date. I believe part of my job is to relieve stress as much as possible on the wedding day so I do not do day of transactions. Additional touch-up or travel fees that are incurred the day of the wedding will be added to a separate PayPal invoice.

 

DO YOU PROVIDE TRADITIONAL OR AIRBRUSH MAKEUP?

I provide both! It is the bride's choice to have traditional or airbrush makeup for herself and her party. Although traditional makeup as well as airbrush makeup have a flawless natural finish, airbrush is a great sweat-proof option that is perfect for summer weddings. Air brush is also great for male grooming, (i.e. blemish and tattoo cover-up). 

WHAT BRANDS OF MAKEUP PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?


All of the makeup products that I use are professional brands that were designed to give long lasting results and photograph beautifully.  They are bought through professional retailers and are not brands that you will typically find in the stores.  Please contact me if you would like more information on brands carried.  

I DON'T WEAR A LOT OF MAKEUP, BUT I STILL WANT TO LOOK BEAUTIFUL ON MY WEDDING DAY.  SHOULD I HIRE A PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST?


Absolutely!  You don't have to wear a lot of makeup on your wedding day to look beautiful, it just needs to be applied correctly and with the appropriate products.  If you don't want to look too "made up" for your wedding, I can give you a very soft, natural bridal look.   It is most important on this day that your makeup lasts, looks great in photographs, makes you feel beautiful and is applied flawlessly to make you feel and look your best on this very special day.  

DO YOU PROVIDE TOUCH UPS?

Of course, I do! Touch ups are totally optional and priced at $20 an hour. This service begins once the bride and groom exit the ceremony. 

HOW LONG DO YOU STAY AFTER SERVICES ARE RENDERED?

I reserve 30 minutes to touch up the bride and bridesmaids after all appointments have been fulfilled. Once all last minute touch ups are made and my work space is cleaned, the service is concluded. If I am needed after the ceremony or during the reception, the touch up fee is applied. Please be advised that after the initial service is concluded I will break to eat and rest. I will be in place and ready for touch ups as soon as the bride and groom exit the ceremony. 

WHAT IS MALE GROOMING?

Male grooming is necessary for the groom or groomsmen that may have heavy redness, severe acne, scarring or tattoos that may need to be covered. This service insures that everyone looks perfect on the wedding day.

HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR PRODUCTS SANITARY?


It is very important to make sure that the person you hire for your makeup is sanitary.  A good makeup artist will sanitize their hands right in front of you, have clean brushes, and a tidy makeup kit.  I always begin applying makeup using cleaned and disinfected brushes and products. I have been professionally trained to know how to keep everything clean and sanitary.  My brushes are cleaned before each work day, and cleaned with antibacterial brush cleaner between clients.  I do not share lipsticks and other products between clients, they are always taken out with spatulas and then mixed on a sanitized cosmetic palette.  All eye shadows and eye/lip liners are disinfected with cosmetic sanitizer between usages as well.  

DO YOU PROVIDE ON-SITE SERVICES?


Yes I do!  Why worry about getting yourself and all of your party shuffled around and off to the church on time when I can come to you?!  All wedding day services are all done on-site and bridal previews can be done either in studio or on-site, depending on your location.  I can come to the church, hotel, your home, or wherever you are most comfortable and is the most convenient for you and your wedding party!  

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?

I have traveled to New York, Las Vegas and even to Paris to render services. I will travel as far as needed as long as accommodations are made such as travel expenses and hotel arrangements. 

DO YOU PROVIDE SERVICES FOR LARGE PARTIES?


Yes, I can accommodate as many as possible before your photos, depending on how early you are willing to start.  If I will not have enough time to provide beauty services for your entire party myself, I may bring along another professional stylist, if I have one available. Please keep in mind that adding a second artist will add/increase the travel fee, if the artist is not local. 

ABOUT HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO DO EACH SERVICE?

BRIDE MAKEUP- 60-75 MINUTES depending on skin type

BRIDESMAIDS/MOMS/OTHER MAKEUP - 30-45 MINUTES depending on skin type


ADDITIONAL SERVICES WILL TAKE EXTRA TIME (SUCH AS:  FACIALS, CLUSTER LASHES, TATTOO COVER, ETC).  These are approximate times, and additional time may still need to be added into wedding day timelines.
